Feeling stuck in a ho-hum routine that’s draining you of energy, inspiration, and a sense of purpose in life? Boredom, believe it or not, could be useful.
Sometimes we need that nothingness in order to give our the creative space it needs. If you’re in a rut, acknowledge it and talk to people. Maybe go for a drive with no music for a while.
The grass is greener where you water it, so don’t think that doing something way out of the ordinary is going to solve anything.
Most importantly though, get back on your prayer game. If that doesn’t help maybe it’s time to start listening to God in your prayer more.
Bobby has a bunch of other great advice to help get you out of a rut if you’re in one. There’s bound to be something in this video you can use to get you back on track and be the person you know you could be.
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed every day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
