Our parish has a ministry of consolation. This is a ministry that assists those who are grieving the loss of a departed loved one.
The ministry of consolation visits those who have recently experienced a loss, prays with them at the vigil, at the funeral home, helps a family in the preparation of the liturgy in the celebration of a Eucharistic Mass, and assists the family in moving through the period of mourning at church at the funeral Mass.
